Native American Tribes Nations and Confederacies: Wampanoag

The Wampanoag people are a Native American tribe who are enrolled in two federally recognized tribes, The Mashpee Wampanoag, and The Wampanoag Tribe of Massachusetts.

The Wampanoags are the most famous, of the Native American tribes, for greeting and befriending the pilgrims in 1620, bringing them corn and turkey to help them through the winter, starting a Thanksgiving tradition that is still observed today.
