Native American Tribes Nations and Confederacies: Mahican

The Mahican's are a Native American tribe, who although were originally settled in the Hudson River Valley, around Albany, New York, moved to Massachusetts after 1680. During the early 1820's and 30's, most of the Mahican descendants migrated west to Wisconsin.

Joining with the Munsee in Wisconsin, they have formed a federally recognized tribe known as the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohican Indians.
